The identity of Lezul is a narrative of form, structure and anatomy. It is built to manifest a novel notion of raw elegance. Reviving the heritage of Istanbul’s craftsmen, it is an allegory of artistry in substance and texture. An homage to historical workshops and their architectural surroundings embodied in creations and compositions.
Given their affection for art and craftsmanship, two sisters with prior careers in medicine and commerce decided to become founders. The sisters’ admiration for fashion, impeccable pieces of art and their homeland’s artisanal qualities built a foundation for what was at first sparked by a wish to carry a piece from here when traveling the world.
Entirely created in small workshops in the ancient center of the city, Lezul is recreating the history of leather workmanship in Istanbul and leveraging the skills of craftsmen whose knowledge and sense of aesthetics have been passed within selected families for generations.
